Grooming Supplies for Yorkies

Yesterday I posted a picture of one of my past puppies in full coat on Facebook and said that taking care of a Yorkie in full coat isn’t really that hard and of course the questions came pouring in.  The thing I was asked most is what grooming products I use on my adult Yorkies so here’s a quick list.

Shampoo – Chris Christensen Spectrum Ten

Conditioner – Chris Christensen Spectrum Ten. You may have to play with this a little depending on the thickness and texture of your dog’s coat. I use it straight from the bottle for my Yorkies with thicker coats, I dilute it a lot for some and I dilute it just a little for others.

Detangling / Conditioning Spray – This is the one product I can not live without!!! Just be careful because it makes my floor super slippery if the overspray gets on it (and I have the bruises to prove it LOL)

Brush – this brush comes in a few shapes and sizes. I like longer pins (22 mm) and oval shape but you can’t go wrong with any of them. Pin brushes are perfect to use for both, when blow drying and for everyday brushing.

This slicker brush is what I use for getting out tangles.

Comb – after I brush I go over my Yorkies with a comb to make sure I got all of the tangles out.

The Peanut is the perfect size buzzer to use to tip ears and clean the hair off the bottom of their feet.

Nail Clipper

I hope this answers everyone’s questions.

    Hi Susan
To answer one of the questions on the blog regarding my Bella V. I find in order to get Bella’s long full coat beautiful I start with Precious Drops by Chris Christensen sprayed lightly over her coat. I then use the Baby G Chris Christensen long slicker brush and then I finish her with the soft tufted Boar Brush by Chris Christensen. I find this keeps Bella’s coat soft and silky with very few mats. I must tell you that I brush her daily. With the brushing I finish with a puppy massage so she always looks forward to this daily ritual .

While we are all home dealing with the coronavirus,
I have been getting a lot of emails regarding our loving pets and their safety. I received an email from ChrissySystems.com which is where I get Bella V’ s
Chris Christiansen’s shampoo & conditioner and all her grooming needs. Fortunately, during this economic shortfall due to the virus they are offering 30% off on all our loving Yorkshire’s needs to keep them looking beautiful. Spectrum 10, precious drops and all the breezy brushes are on sale. I think economically if you are able to stock up it is a great opportunity. Check it out and stock up so our pets feel good through this pandemic. If they feel good, we will feel good.
Be safe be healthy and hug your pet !
